Horse Racing Nation's Andrew Capone is hitting the Saratoga backside all summer long to find out the latest from the connections.

In this report, he speaks with Hall of Fame jockey John Velazquez and trainers Cherie DeVaux and Joe Sharp.

Velazquez discusses the deep Saratoga jockey colony. He also talks about how he has been able to keep himself fit and competitive through such a long riding career.

DeVaux, who started her Saratoga meet with Tarabi's win in the Wilton Stakes, checks in with her Caress Stakes (G3) runner Bout Time. She also explains her West Point Thoroughbreds, talks about the structure of her stable, and introduces an exciting 2-year-old slated to debut on Sunday.

Sharp shares his thoughts about the string of horses he brought to Saratoga. He also discusses several of the most promising juveniles in his barn and provides some insight about how riding his own horses in the mornings relates to his training approach.
