Saratoga video: Trainers on tough races coming up

Horse Racing Nation's Andrew Capone is hitting the backside this summer to talk to connections at Saratoga.

In the latest Morning Report, Andrew talks with trainer David Donk, jockey Mike Luzzi and Charlie Lynch with Brendan Walsh Racing Stables.

Donk talks about why he's taking on Golden Pal with one or maybe two contenders in the Troy (G3) on Friday. He also has a first-time starter on Thursday, and how is he dealing with the summer heat?

Luzzi, the elder statesman of the Saratoga jockey colony, talks about the quality of the jockeys this year and how it compares with earlier in his career. How does he stay in shape? It helps, he says, to be “naturally light.”

Lynch and Walsh also face tough competition with Temple City Terror facing War Like Goddess in the Glens Falls (G2) on Saturday. And they have a few 2-year-olds at the Spa who you're likely to see later in the meet.
