has nominated to next Sunday’s $75,000 Anoakia Stakes for 2-year-old fillies at six furlongs, “only one will be in there, and right now it looks like Chasing Yesterday,” he said Sunday morning.

The daughter of
Tapit -- and, out of the mare Littleprincessemma a half-sister to American Pharoah -- was seventh in her most recent race, the Grade 1 Spinaway at Saratoga on Sept. 1.

Chasing Yesterday won her first start July 28 at Del Mar by 4 ¼ lengths under
Mike Smith, who was aboard in the Spinaway.

Meanwhile,
Brian Koriner plans to run Andyoushallreceive
, a maiden winner at Los Alamitos Sept. 22 in her lone start under Tiago Pereira, who retains the mount. Also probable for the Anoakia is Watch Me Burn for Val Brinkerhoff
.

As to
Its Gonna Hurt, who earned a fees-paid berth to the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint Nov. 2 by winning Saturday’s Speakeasy Stakes, Koriner said Sunday he’s likely to run, since the Breeders’ Cup has made him an offer he can’t refuse.

“The VIP treatment includes all entry fees paid, hotel room, tickets to the Breeders’ Cup and executive car service,” the trainer said. “How can you turn it down?”

Other West Coast stars breeze

Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile favorite
Catalina Cruiser worked six furlongs Sunday for John Sadler in 1:12.80, while Dirt Mile contender City of Light went five furlongs in a bullet 59 flat, fastest of 87 drills at the distance, for Michael McCarthy. Sadler also sent Filly and Mare Sprint contender Selcourt five furlongs in 1:00.20. In all, there were 203 recorded workouts at Santa Anita Sunday, 21 on the training track

Finish lines: Earlier this week, trainer
John Sadler said he plans three breezes at Santa Anita for Breeders’ Cup Classic favorite and Horse of the Year candidate Accelerate before he leaves for Kentucky the week of the race, which will be run Nov. 4. “The first one is a week from Saturday (Oct. 13), and we’ll follow with works the following two Saturdays,” Sadler said . . . Baffert reports champion Abel Tasman, who buried bridge jumpers with her fifth-place finish as the 1-10 favorite in last weekend's Zenyatta Stakes, would get a week off before going back to the track to prepare for the Breeders’ Cup Distaff on Nov. 3.
