Trainer Bob Baffert entered three fillies in Sunday's Grade 3 Santa Ysabel at Santa Anita, but two-time graded-stakes winner Tenma is not one of them.

The 1 1/16-mile Santa Ysabel offers 50-25-15-10-5 qualifying points for the Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks. But if there are any scratches, the points will be reduced.

Baffert told Horse Racing Nation he decided to wait until the Santa Anita Oaks (G2) on April 5 to bring her back. But he is wheeling back Maysam just 13 days after her empty, sixth-place finish as the 1-9 favorite in the Sunland Park Oaks. The Santa Ysabel would be her third start since her Jan. 24 debut.

Baffert also has Las Virgenes (G3) runner-up Cipriani and Santa Ynez fourth-place finisher Howin in the mix Sunday.

The remaining three in the field are Just as Fancy, a distant third of three in the San Virgenes; Supa Speed, who will try her first graded stakes after coming off an allowance win; and Hey Jessie, who closed 2024 with two wins but was seventh in the California Club Oaks last out.
