John Sadler nominated three horses to the Las Cienegas Stakes on Saturday and has entered all three. Next-best thing would be to finish first, second and third in the Grade III race for older fillies and mares at about 6 ½ furlongs on turf.

If he does, it wouldn’t be a first.

Sadler swept the first three spots in the American Beauty Stakes at Santa Anita last April. I Dazzle won, Moone’s My Name finished second, and Byrony third.

Sky High Gal heads Sadler’s trio Saturday, but stablemates Llandudno and Minds Eyes are not without a chance.

“She’s a stakes winner, last time down the hill,” Sadler said of Sky High Gal, who captured the ungraded Wishing Well by a game head on Feb. 9. “She’s a two-time stakes winner at the meet (also taking the one-mile Blue Norther by a nose on Jan. 1).

“She’s lightly raced with stops and starts, but she’s a good filly.”

A 4-year-old daughter of turf specialist Leroidesanimaux owned by the Hronis brothers, Sky High Gal has a 4-1-0 record from seven starts with earnings of $173,733.

The Las Cienegas field: Ciao Bella Luna, Martin Garcia, 4-1; Macaabra, Brice Blanc, 8-1; Llandudno, Tyler Baze, 6-1; Biorhythm, Drayden Van Dyke, 2-1; Sky High Gal, Rafael Bejarano, 5-2; Tribal Spy, Joe Talamo, 9-2; and Minds Eyes, Edwin Maldonado, 8-1.
