Darby Dan Farm announced Sunday that Run Away and Hide is relocating to Turkey to continue his stud career. The 13-year-old son of City Zip will stand at Resat Akkan’s farm where he will join Papa Clem and Paco Boy (IRE) on the stallion roster.
The sire of 33 black type horses and six Graded stakes winners, Run Away and Hide is represented this year by Are You Kidding Me, winner of the Dominion Day S. (G3) at Woodbine, and Beach Getaway, winner of the Northbound Pride Oaks at Canterbury Downs. Additional recent Graded stakes winners include the likes of Best Pal S. (G2) winner Run Away (pictured) and Bashford Manor S. (G3) winner Ten City. He has total progeny earnings of more than $17.8 million.
As a racehorse, Run Away and Hide was an undefeated multiple Graded stakes-winning juvenile and a stakes-record setter in the Saratoga Special S. (G2), where he ran 6 ½ furlongs in 1:15.67.
Run Away and Hide stood the 2019 season at Darby Dan for $6,500 S&N.
