Royal Ascot 2019: Saturday race results, payouts and replays
The prestigious Royal Ascot meet was expected to wrap up Saturday with American runners in two races and an intriguing story line heading into the feature.
But with rain throughout most of the week in England, and the going still less than firm, trainer Wesley Ward scratched Keeneland maiden winner Joker on Jack in the day's opener. He'll still saddled older sprinter Bound for Nowhere in Saturday's biggest race, the Diamond Jubilee, against Blue Point, who won his second Group 1 race of the meeting having also taken Tuesday's King's Stand.

Chesham Stakes (9:30 a.m. ET)
Pinatubo improved his record to 3-for-3 in historic fashion, taking the longest Royal Ascot race for juveniles in a final time of 1:25.76 for seven furlongs. The Aidan O'Brien-trained favorite Lope Y Fernandez quickened late but was no match for the winner, who's trained by Charlie Appleby for Godolphin. James Doyle was in the irons for what -- if confirmed -- could be a record clocking for 2-year-olds over the course.
#12 Pinatubo: $7.80 / $2.70
#9 Lope Y Fernandez: $2.40
#7 Highland Chief: $7.50
$1 exacta: $8.80
Group 3 Jersey Stakes (10:05 a.m. ET)
Similarly named, narrow winner Space Traveller got up over Space Blues in this seven-furlong sprint restricted to 3-year-olds. It continued a big week for jockey Danny Tudhope, who made it his fourth winner and joined the battle for leading rider along with Frankie Dettori (seven) and Ryan Moore (five). Space Traveller, trained by Richard Fahey, is a son of Bated Breath who was off at 47-1 in the world pool.
#14 Space Traveller: $96.70 / $22
#13 Space Blues: $2.90
#17 Angel's Hideaway: $11.60
$1 exacta: $202.70
Group 2 Hardwicke Stakes (10:40 a.m. ET)
Defoe outlasted Nagano Gold in this 1 1/2-mile feature. But this race will be remembered more for what happened at the start. Masar, the 2018 Epsom Derby hero, and the eventual race runner-up made quite a bit of contact leaving the gate. Masar lost position and leveled off late. As for Defoe, Roger Varian trains for Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum.
#2 Defoe: $6.60 / $2.30
#6 Nagano Gold: $12.50
#4 Mirage Dancer: $4
$1 exacta: $68.70
Group 1 Diamond Jubilee (11:20 a.m. ET)
Blue Point had just enough in the tank to win his second Royal Ascot feature this week, holding off Dream of Dreams by a desperate nose in the final Group 1 of the meet. Two others have completed the King's Stand-Diamond Jubilee double. That makes the Godolphin runner 5-for-5 this season as well. Bound for Nowhere, the American runner, didn't much factor, taken back off the pace but unable to kick on late. With this a Breeders' Cup "Win and You're In" toward the Turf Sprint, hopefully we can look forward to a season-ending matchup against the U.S. runner World of Trouble.
#1 Blue Point: $4.20 / $2.30
#5 Dream of Dreams: $10.50
#9 Kachy: $28.60
$1 exacta: $34.20
Wokingham Stakes (12 p.m. ET)
In this massive handicap over six furlongs, 28 went postward, and Cape Byron emerged from the larger herd of runners on the near side of the straight course. They finished in a blanket behind the winner, who’s trained by Roger Varian and had Andrea Atzeni in the irons. As with the Hardwicke winner Defoe, this one is campaigned by Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum.
#3 Cape Byron: $8.60 / $3.50
#17 Tis Marvellous: $9.20
#16 Danzeno: $3.50
$1 exacta: $80
Queen Alexandra Stakes (12:35 p.m. ET)
Cleonte, off at 7-2 in the world pool, prevailed in the King Power Racing colors under jockey Silvestre De Sousa, who rode the Irish-bred for trainer Andrew Balding. King Power is the stable name of the late Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, also chairman of the Leicester City Football Club until his death in October of last year.
#5 Cleonte: $9.80 / $3.40
#1 Pallasator: $8.10
#9 Max Dynamite: $3.10
$1 exacta: $44.50
