Royal Ascot 2018: Friday race results, payouts and replays
The prestigious Royal Ascot meeting continues Friday, and we'll track all the action here with a close eye on American connections.
A day after Shang Shang Shang struck for Wesley Ward in the Group 2 Norfolk, he'll saddle Stillwater Cove in the Group 3 Albany. Arguably, the main attraction is Todd Pletcher-trained and Zayat Stables-owned Gidu in the Group 1 Commonwealth.
A list of Wednesday's Ascot races are below. Also see the full NBC Sports TV schedule, plus a few tips for betting Ascot. You can play at TVG, which will also offer on-site coverage and live streaming.

G3 Albany
Ward-trained Stillwater Cove got away perhaps too well, with the American horse going out four lengths ahead early before swallowed up by a pack of horses on the far side of the course. Main Edition ran on the near side and got up in the final strides of the six-furlong test for juvenile fillies. La Pelosa was close for second, while Fairyland was the runner caught on the far side late.
Main Edition: $15.40 / $5.40
La Pelosa: $7.40
Fairyland: $2.80
Exacta: $100.40
Trifecta: $375.60
Godolphin's Old Persian found an extra gear late to prevail in this test for 3-year-olds on turf going 1 1/2 miles -- and also referred to as the Ascot Derby. Raa Atoll set the pace in the now-famed China Horse Club silks but gave way to his pressing rival, fading to fourth behind Rostropovich and Giuseppe Garibaldi in a three-wide duel for the place.
Old Persian: $9.20 / $3.40
Rostropovich: $4.40
Giuseppe Garibaldi: $4.40
Exacta: $38.30
Trifecta: $269.30
Gidu could have used another furlong, coming with a late run but out of time at the wire after he paced a small pack of horses on the near side of the course. Far more, including the winner, Eqtidaar, did their running on the far side of the straight six-furlong course. Sands of Mali, who we saw here in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf, ran second as the field crossed in a blanket for third.
Eqtidaar: $34.80 / $9.60
Sands of Mali: $6
Emblazoned: $7.80
Exacta: $163.20
Trifecta: $3,460.10
Alpha Centauri made easy work of this field, off as a 5-2 favorite in the U.S. and now arguably the top 3-year-old filly in Europe with a victory going a round mile. Threading was well back in second. Alpha Centauri's win gave Irish trainer Jessica Harrington her first Ascot score and came in track-record time, besting the previous mark by 1.3 seconds.
Alpha Centauri: $7.40 / $3
Threading: $4.40
Veracious: $6
Exacta: $24.70
Trifecta: $270
In another of the massive handicap fields, this mile race featuring 23 fillies, Perfection set a nice pace apart from the pack on the far side before Agrotera stormed down the center of the track to strike at 9-2.
Agrotera: $11 / $4
Ortiz: $57
Escape The City: $28.80
Exacta: $810.70
Trifecta: $27,600.30

Dash of Spice: $9 / $3
Sir Chauvelin: $11.20
Walton Street: $4.40
