Rosario picks up Kentucky Derby ride on Rock Your World, bumps Rispoli

On the same day his presumed ride Concert Tour was withdrawn from consideration for the 2021 Kentucky Derby, Joel Rosario found a replacement mount aboard Santa Anita Derby (G1) winner Rock Your World. 

Rosario, who won the 2013 Kentucky Derby aboard Orb, will replace Umberto Rispoli in the irons, according to a social media post from Daily Racing Form's Steve Andersen.

Rispoli piloted Rock Your World to a win going a mile on turf in the Feb. 27 Pasadena Stakes at Santa Anita before scoring on the front-end in the Santa Anita Derby. Those efforts came after Rosario had rode Rock Your World to a debut win versus maidens on grass at Santa Anita on Jan. 1. The Candy Ride colt is a perfect 3-for-3 for trainer John Sadler and owners Hronis Racing and Talla Racing.
