Roarified leads the way at Emerald Downs

Owner Jody Peetz said it best after Roarified led all the way Friday for a 1 ¼-length victory in the featured Boeing Employees Saddle Club Purse at Emerald Downs.

“When you're on a roll, you're on a roll,” Peetz said. “What can I say? It's great!”

Indeed Peetz, trainer Chris Stenslie and jockey Deborah Hoonan-Trujillo are on a fabulous roll. Roarified, the only 3-year-old in the race, provided the latest heroics with a gate-to-wire triumph over co 2-1 betting favorites Mirror Pond and Fees Like Rain, who finished second and third in the featured one-mile event.

Roarified was timed in 1:38.27 on a fast track, and paid $22.20, $7.60 and $4.40.
