rallied down the center of the Matt Winn Turf Course and got up in the
final jump to win the $52,162 Sunday afternoon feature at Churchill
Downs by a head over
El Jefe Grande.
Trained by Eddie Kenneally and ridden by Corey Lanerie, River Boss completed the 1 1/16 miles on the firm course in 1:45.48.

River Boss earned $31,200 for Sunday’s victory and improved his career
earnings to $52,627. A 3-year-old chestnut son of Street Boss, River
Boss’s record now stands at 2-0-0 from six starts.
A winner at odds of more than 8-1, River Boss returned $19.60, $8.60 and $5.80. El Jefe Grande, under Joe Rocco Jr., was second and returned $5 and $3.60 with Cairo Six another head back in third under
