Riders Up: Rosie Napravnik

Jockey Anna Rose “Rosie” Napravnik is featured in the second installment of NYRA’s newest video series “Riders Up,” now available on demand at http://www.nyra.com/ridersup/index.shtml.

The series provides fans with a comprehensive look at the riders on the NYRA circuit, from the perspective of trainers, owners, and, of course, the jockeys themselves as they discuss their motivations and thoughts on riding in New York.

In the most recent video, Napravnik, who finished third in Aqueduct’s inner track standings with 42 victories for the meet that ended March 30, discusses her career goals, motivation, and the importance of a good work ethic. Trainers John Parisella and Edward Barker share their thoughts on Napravnik’s versatile riding style.

The “Riders Up” videos can be viewed online at http://www.nyra.com/ridersup/index.shtml and also on NYRA’s YouTube page.

“Riders Up” joins “Spotlight Series,” a behind the scenes look at the people who help NYRA racing operate smoothly on a consistent basis, “Backstretch Buzz,” in which jockeys and trainers share their thoughts on topical events and news stories concerning thoroughbred racing, “Jockey Video Cards,” up-close-and-personal interviews with NYRA’s leading jockeys, and “On the Record,” candid conversations with some of New York’s most renowned trainers, as the latest in popular on-demand videos available on NYRA.com.
