Crack sprinter Catalina Cruiser, winner of 7 of 9 starts, including five Grade 2 stakes, has been sold and will resume his stallion duties in Chile, according to multiple published reports.

The 10-year-old son of Union Rags out of the Mineshaft mare Sea Gull, stood for his first two seasons at Lane's End in Versailles, Ky., before the private purchase orchestrated by Matt Bowling of Bowling Bloodstock and J.P. Sullivan of Sullivan Bloodstock, according to the reports.

His new home is the Porta Pia farm in Chile, they said.

Catalina Cruiser, repeat winner of both the Pat O'Brien Stakes (G2) and San Diego Handicap (G2) at Del Mar in 2018 and 2019, as well as the 2019 True North Stakes (G2) at Belmont Park, retired with a 9: 7-0-0 record and $711,100 in earnings.

His progeny have earned more than $2.6 million. His top earner, Catalytic, finished second in this year's Florida Derby (G1), 13 1/2 lengths in arrears of winner Fierceness.
