The New York Racing Association has set a hearing date of March 22 for trainer Marcus Vitali, the Daily Racing Form reported Thursday.
Last month, NYRA issued a notice of hearing and statement of charges to Vitali and Bob Baffert, contending that they "have engaged in conduct that is detrimental to the best interests of the sport of Thoroughbred racing or potentially injurious to the health or safety of horses or riders."
NYRA said "this conduct warrants revocation or suspension of their right to train horses, enter races, or engage in any racing-related activity at all NYRA properties."
Baffert's hearing has been set for Jan. 24.
