Frank Stronach, a Thoroughbred owner and breeder who also co-founded racetrack ownership company The Stronach Group, was found guilty of indecent assault and sexual assault Friday morning in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

The decision was reported by Gordon Anderson of the Toronto Sun.

Stronach was originally charged with 12 charges from seven people, related to alleged conduct between 1977 and 1990. Prosecutors proceeded with a total of seven charges from four different people. The complainants remain anonymous due to a publication ban, common to protect survivors of sexual assault.

The indecent assault conviction related to a fall 1977 incident. Legal secretary V.T., after going out to dinner with Stronach, reportedly testified that she was assaulted at Stronach's apartment. The sexual assault conviction related to an incident described by A.S., a cocktail waitress. The incident happened sometime between January 1983 and April 1984.

This is not the only sexual assault case pending against Stronach. there is a second case in Newmarket that was originally supposed to go to trial this fall but has been postponed to May 2027, according to an April 2026 report by Ling Hui of the Toronto Sun.
