Report: Rock Your World heading back to the turf

Triple Crown veteran Rock Your World, who started his career with two wins on turf for trainer John Sadler, will move back to the grass in the $200,000 Twilight Derby (G2) on Oct. 31 at Santa Anita.

According to Daily Racing Form, Sadler would rather "wait" for the Twilight Derby rather than pursue either next Saturday's $1 million Pennsylvania Derby (G1) at Parx or the $300,000 Awesome Again (G1) versus older, which provides the winner a fees-paid berth to the $6 million Breeders' Cup Classic.

The Twilight Derby going 1 1/8 miles could lead to a start in the Grade 1, $400,000 Hollywood Derby on Nov. 27 at Del Mar.

Rock Your World won the Santa Anita Derby (G1) on dirt this spring after previously dismissing both maiden and allowance foes on the turf. He would go on to be 17th in the Kentucky Derby after a disastrous start and was sixth in the Belmont Stakes. The Candy Ride colt would resurface in last month's Shared Belief on dirt at Del Mar and run second to Kentucky Derby winner Medina Spirit.
