Midnight Bisou, who’s returning to the races in 2020, reportedly will target the world’s richest race.

The Daily Racing Form reported Friday that the likely 2019 Champion Older Dirt Female has arrived at Fair Grounds, where she’ll train toward the inaugural $20 million Saudi Cup.

King Abdulaziz Racetrack in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia will host the 1,800-meter race for 4-and-up thoroughbreds Feb. 29.

Steve Asmussen trains Midnight Bisou, who took the first loss of her 4-year-old season last week to Blue Prize in the Breeders’ Cup Distaff.

The Midnight Lute filly went 7-for-8 in 2019, with Grade 1 wins in Oaklawn Park’s Apple Blossom Handicap, Belmont Park’s Ogden Phipps Stakes and Saratoga’s Personal Ensign Stakes.

Bloom Racing Stable, Madaket Stables and Allen Racing campaign Midnight Bisou, who was originally scheduled to enter the auction ring following the Breeders’ Cup Distaff.

Jeff Bloom of Bloom Racing announced before the race that the “incredible filly” will instead race on in 2020.
