Kentucky Derby contender King Guillermo did not go to the track at Churchill Downs Thursday morning and has what trainer Juan Avila called "a little problem," according to Greg Hall, a pool reporter for the National Turf Writers and Broadcasters.

Avila told Hall that a decision on what's next for the Tampa Bay Derby winner will be made later today.

In a National Turf Writers and Broadcasters post, Hall quoted Avila as saying: "It's a big race, and a little problem is a big problem for me."

King Guillermo's morning-line odds for the Kentucky Derby are 20-1.

After his Tampa Bay Derby score, King Guillermo came in second to Nadal in the May 2 Arkansas Derby, but he hasn't raced in the four months since, instead training to the Kentucky Derby.

The son of Uncle Mo, with a record of 2-1-1 in five starts, is owned by former Major League Baseball all-star Victor Martinez under the Victori's Ranch banner.
