Justique and Mc Vay, who were both graded-stakes placed for trainer John Shirreffs, have been moved to the barn of Cherie DeVaux.

Both Justique and Mc Vay are still owned by CRK Stable of Lee and Susan Searing according to Brad Free of Daily Racing Form, who reported the move. It continues an eastward shift of horses owned by California-based CRK Stable, who also owns multiple horses trained by Peter Eurton who have been racing at Horseshoe Indianapolis in recent weeks.

Justique, a 4-year-old daughter of Justify, has a record of 15: 2-2-4 and earnings of $246,540 so far. She broke her maiden on debut at Del Mar in July 2022 and also won the Desi Arnaz Stakes that autumn at the seaside track. Though she is winless since, she has placed in five graded stakes, most recently when second behind Uncorked in the Royal Heroine (G3) on the Santa Anita lawn in April. She last raced in July, but has been working at Keeneland since mid-October.

Mc Vay, a 3-year-old colt by Constitution, is 8: 1-1-1 including a third-place finish behind Imagination in the San Felipe (G2) on March 3. He was still a maiden when trying the Kentucky Derby trail. He graduated by seven lengths in May in a dirt mile at Santa Anita Park, in a maiden special weight open to horses aged 3, 4 or 5. Mc Vay returned to the work tab Satudray, when he went four furlongs at Keeneland.
