A Kentucky judge has vacated his order that would have allowed trainer Wesley Ward to sell 14 horses owned by Ken Ramsey at a Keeneland sale in January.
This is the latest move in a long-running lawsuit between the trainer and Ramsey over what Ward claims are unpaid training bills.
Proceeds from the sale were to have been held in escrow until the claims in the suit were settled.
BloodHorse reported that attorneys for Ramsey filed an emergency motion last week asking Jessamine County Circuit Court Judge Hunter Daugherty to vacate and set aside his order allowing the horses to be sold in exchange for Ramsey putting just over $1 million into escrow as security. The judge vacated his order on Tuesday.
