A trial date has been set in the federal doping case against trainer Jason Servis.

Bloodhorse.com reported that U.S. District Court Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil scheduled the trial for Jan.9, with a pretrial conference on Jan. 5.

Servis was one of 27 people indicted in March 2020 after an FBI investigation into illegal horse doping. Servis was charged with administering misbranded and adulterated performance-enhancing drugs to racehorses.

His trial will be on the same date as that for veterinarian Alexander Chan, another defendant in the case.

Vyskocil also set trial dates for other defendants, according to the report. Veterinarian Erica Garcia and trainer Michael Tannuzzo will have their trials begin Sept. 12, with the pretrial conference to be held Sept. 8.
