Irad Ortiz Jr., Paco Lopez fight, get track probation (WATCH)

Jockey Irad Ortiz Jr. was fined $1,000 and was placed on probation with fellow jockey Paco Lopez after a fight at Gulfstream on Friday, reports Mike Welsch of the Daily Racing Form.

The incident occurred after Race 4, won by Ortiz aboard Known Agenda. Lopez was on runner-up Top Gun Tommy. (Read more about the race here.)

According to the chart, Known Agenda "took over outside Top Gun Tommy" in the far turn, "getting his hind end brushed by the latter at the top of the stretch."

After the race, Ortiz threw a few punches at Lopez, who was seated.

Lopez lodged an objection against the winner, claiming interference, was dismissed, according to the chart.

Attempts to reach the jockeys' agents and the Gulfstream racing office were unsuccessful.
