Endlessly, winner of the Grade 3 Jeff Ruby Steaks, will try dirt for the first time in the Kentucky Derby on May 4 at Churchill Downs.

Also under consideration for the American Turf (G2) after his win on the Tapeta at Turfway on March 23. Trainer Michael McCarthy confirmed after a Saturday-morning workout that Endlessly would run in the Kentucky Derby, according to a report by Byron King of BloodHorse. Endlessly drilled half a mile over the Churchill Downs dirt in 47.8 seconds.

A son of 2016 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf winner Oscar Performance, Endlessly is out of an unraced Langfuhr mare whose family includes stakes winners on grass including Grade 1 winner Coffee Clique, multiple Grade 3 winner Admission Office and fellow Oscar Performance son Act a Fool, winner of the 2023 Hawthorne Derby. Endlessly races as a homebred for Amerman Racing, who also campaigned Oscar Performance.

Endlessly is a two-time stakes winner on the lawn as a juvenile, with wins in both the Del Mar Juvenile Turf (G3) and Zuma Beach (G3). He is also a two-time stakes winner on Tapeta, with victories in both the El Camino Real Derby at Golden Gate Fields and the Jeff Ruby at Turfway.
