Baoma Corp's top 3-year-old filly Eda will be scratched from Saturday's $600,000 Fantasy Stakes (G3) after spiking a mild temperature and not making the flight to Oaklawn Park on Tuesday.

Trainer Bob Baffert told Daily Racing Form the "blood work wasn't super-perfect" for the expected Fantasy favorite, so the Grade 1 winner would remain at Santa Anita. Next Saturday, Santa Anita hosts a Kentucky Oaks prep of its own with the $400,000 Santa Anita Oaks (G2).

Eda is not currently eligible to qualify for the Kentucky Oaks due to Baffert's two-year ban put in place by host track Churchill Downs. By Munnings, Eda has reeled off four-straight stakes wins including the Starlet (G1) and Santa Ysabel (G3) in her two most recent starts.

The defection of Eda leaves a wide-open field of eight for Fantasy, which awards Oaks points on a 100-40-20-10 scale to the top-four finishers.
