Grade 1-placed sprinter Drew's Gold has been privately purchased by RRR Racing of Sheikh Rashin bin Humaid Alnuami.

Drew's Gold has been moved to the barn of trainer Chad Summers according to a Monday report from David Grening of Daily Racing Form. Grening reported that their long-term goal with Drew's Gold is the Dubai Golden Shaheen (G1) on March 30.

This is the second high-profile private acquisition for these connections in recent months. Clapton, who they acquired over the summer, finished fourth in the Jockey Club Gold Cup (G1) in his first start since the transfer, then won the Lukas Classic (G2) on Sept. 30.

A $25,000 purchase at Keeneland September in 2021, Drew's Gold was previously trained by James Chapman and co-owned by Chapman and Stuart Tsujimoto. The son of Violence has an 8: 4-1-1 career record and $347,745 in earnings. Those wins came in his first four starts, and include victories in the Jimmy Winkfield at Aqueduct and the listed Gold Fever at Belmont this year.

Drew's Gold has yet to win at the graded level, but finished second to Arabian Lion in the Woody Stephens (G1) after a poor start, and also ran third behind New York Thunder in the Amsterdam (G2). He has been on the shelf since finishing a distant fifth behind One in Vermillion in the H. Allen Jerkens (G1) at Saratoga on Aug. 26.
