Disarm, who finished fourth in the Kentucky Derby, will not run in the Preakness Stakes.

David Fiske of owner Winchell Thoroughbreds confirmed a Twitter post by Daily Racing Form's David Grening that the Gun Runner colt likely will be pointed instead to the Grade 1 Jim Dandy and Travers stakes.

Mage's Kentucky Derby win is a boon to microshare trend

Disarm is trained by Steve Asmussen, as is his remaining Preakness contender Red Route One, who also is owned by Winchell.

Winchell and Asmussen won the Jim Dandy and Travers with Epicenter last year after the colt was second in the Kentucky Derby and Preakness.

Disarm has a record of 6: 1-2-2, with his lone win coming in a maiden special weight at Saratoga in August. He earned Kentucky Derby qualifying points with a third-place finish in the Lexington (G3) and a runner-up effort in the Louisiana Derby (G2).

The defection of Disarm from the Preakness appears to leave Kentucky Derby winner Mage as the only colt in the run for the roses who will be in the gate at Pimlico on Saturday.

The race will be drawn Monday afternoon.
