Report: Daily Racing Form owner to merge with gaming company

Sports Information Group LLC, the owner of the Daily Racing Form, will merge with casino operator Affinity Gaming, according to a Bloomberg report.

Citing people with knowledge of the plan, Bloomberg reported that the new entity, called Affinity Interactive, would be valued at about $1.3 billion. It would have a combined customer base of nearly 1 million across the U.S., according to the report.

Affinity Gaming's casinos are in Nevada, Missouri and Iowa.

Both companies are in the portfolio of Z Capital Group, a global investment firm based in New York.

Z Capital founder and CEO Jim Zenni will become chairman of Affinity Interactive. Itay Fisher, CEO of Sports Information Group, and Mary Beth Higgins, head of Affinity Gaming, will maintain their roles at the units, according to the report.
