Report: Appleby will bring 6 to Breeders' Cup
British trainer Charlie Appleby will bring six runners to the Breeders' Cup Nov. 4 and 5 at Keeneland, according to a Twitter post by U.K. racing broadcaster Nick Luck.
The six are:
Turf: Rebel's Romance, winner of his last four, including two Group 1s. He's the 3-1 joint favorite in international futures. Also Nation's Pride, winner of the Jockey Club Derby (G3) and Saratoga Derby (G2) in his last two starts.
Turf Sprint: Creative Force, who finished third in the Champions Sprint (G1) at Ascot on Saturday.
Mile: Modern Games, winner of the Woodbine Mile (G1) and runner up in the Queen Elizabeth II (G1) at Ascot Saturday.
Juvenile Turf: Silver Knott, winner of the Autumn Stakes (G3) at Newmarket on Oct. 8
Juvenile Turf Sprint: Mischief Magic, who finished fourth last out in the Middle Park (G1) Newmarket and won the Sirenia (G3) before that.
Another Appleby colt, Adayar, is very unlikely to run, according to Luck, but is staying in training. He ran a respectable second in Saturday's Champion Stakes (G1) at Ascot and was the 3-1 joint favorite in international futures for the Turf.
