2013 Kentucky Derby hero Orb will continue his stallion career in Uruguay, BloodHorse reported Thursday.

Orb, now 11, will stand at Haras Cuatro Piedras for a coalition of some of the top breeders in the country.

The son of Malibu Moon has sired 157 winners, including 2018 Spinaway Stakes (G1) heroine Sippican Harbor, since beginning his stallion career in 2014. Orb colt O Besos finished fourth in the Risen Star Stakes (G2) and third in the Louisiana Derby (G2) this spring on Fair Grounds’ Kentucky Derby trail.

On the track, Orb posted a 12: 5-0-3 record with more than $2.6 million for owners/breeders Stuart Janney III and Phipps Stable. He won the 2013 Kentucky Derby for trainer Shug McGaughey off back-to-back Gulfstream Park wins in the Fountain of Youth Stakes (G2) and Florida Derby (G1).
