Regally Ready Wins Twin Spires Turf Sprint

Regally Ready sat the right stalk and pounce trip en route to a 1-1/4 length tally in the Twin Spires Turf Sprint (Grade 3) at Churchill Downs on Kentucky Derby day.

Southern Region set the pace in the five furlong grass sprint with Bridgetown chasing him from the outset.

Bridgetown took the lead in the lane but Regally Ready was always well placed and ran down the Todd Pletcher trainee. Corey Nakatani rode the winner for Steve Asmussen.

Post time favorite Chamberlain Bridge rallied for the show and was followed across the line by Southern Region, Custom For Carlos, Spectacular Kid, Early Return, and Henry's Time.
