Rappers Jack Harlow, Drake drop Churchill Downs video
Jack Harlow and Drake not only attended last month's Kentucky Derby but also shot a music video there.
The international rap stars were at Churchill Downs on May 7 taking in the sites and sounds of "the most exciting two minutes in sports" as well as shooting the music video for the song "Churchill Downs," which clocked in slightly longer than the race, going five minutes, 10 seconds.
Louisville native Harlow performed the first half of the song, and Drake joined for the second. At the end Drake rapped, "Kentucky Derby races, my presence in the spot is so abrasive. Box at Churchill Downs-that's motivation. Yeah, and short like, 'You know that boy Jack is goin' places."
That was the only mention of Churchill Downs or the Kentucky Derby in the song, but both Harlow and Drake "performed" their parts of the video from an infield suite at what appeared to be the eighth pole overlooking the Matt Winn Turf Course. The video also featured other prominent scenes from Derby day and the Louisville area.
The song is from Harlow's second studio album "Come Home the Kids Miss You," which was released last month through Generation Now and Atlantic Records.
