FELINE FORUM won the final race from Gulfstream at 10-1 ending a parade of long shots and triggering a $3,591,245.44 payoff in the RAINBOW PICK 6.

Going into the last race, there were winning tickets on five horses in the 11-horse field: 1, 2, 3, 7 and 11.  Feline Forum won by 3 1/4 lengths over #11 Green Waters, who was also covered as a winner.   A total of $438,733 was bet into today's Rainbow 6, and with over 4.3-million combinations of the 10-cent wager, there was only one perfect ticket.

The Rainbow Pick 6 was in the midst of a nearly two month drought before it was last annexed on December 29 when one ticket cashed for $327,110. According to the rules, a full payoff is only rendered when a single winning ticket is left after the six race sequence.

Horses with big odds in the right places and at the right times helped the pool snow ball over time. Once it hit six figures seven days in, it didn't take long to reach the $1 million mark.

The biggest price of the sequence came in the first leg when 56-1 bomber Keyner Veloz scored from the rail position. He was complimented by a 17-1 winner in the third leg.
