Champion Rachel Alexandra will headline a field of seven entered for this Saturday’s $400,000 Lady’s Secret Stakes at Monmouth Park, a mile and an eighth event that will go as race 11 on a 12-race program.

Rachel Alexandra, the reigning Horse of the Year, will break from post five with regular rider Calvin Borel in the irons. She arrived at Monmouth Park on Tuesday morning and earlier today galloped over the Oceanport oval, her first visit to the Monmouth racetrack since dominating her male rivals in last year’s Haskell Invitational.

This year, Rachel was runner-up in her first two starts before a 10 ½ length victory last out in the Fleur de Lis Handicap at Churchill Downs on June 12.

Reserved seats are still available for the Saturday card and can be purchased by calling 732-571-5563 or visiting www.ticketmaster.com. A commemorative Rachel Alexandra t-shirt will be given to all paid admissions, while supply lasts.

The Lady’s Secret Stakes has an estimated post time of 5:57 p.m. Gates open at Monmouth Park this Saturday at 11:30 a.m., with first post set at 12:50 p.m.
