Queen's Plate tickets go on sale Wednesday
Tickets for the 162nd Queen's Plate, the first jewel of the Canadian triple crown, will be available through a pre-sale on Wednesday and to the general public on Friday, though capacity will be limited.
Woodbine Entertainment outlined seating and dining options for the Queen's Plate, which will be held on Aug. 22 and carries a purse of $1 million (about USD $800,000) for Canadian thoroughbreds.
The options include:
• Post Parade. Tables of four above the track.
• The Patio at Champions. Provides a scenic view of the track plus food and drink.
• Trackside Experience. Front-row access on Woodbine's apron, with BBQ and a live DJ.
• Grandstand seats. Outdoor seats the open-air grandstand. Sold in groups of two, with two empty seats between occupied seats to promote physical distancing.
• General admission. Access to second and third floors of the grandstand. Seating not included.
Advanced ticket sales will begin Wednesday at 10 a.m. EDT, followed by public ticket access on Friday on Ticketmaster.ca. Because of government-imposed capacity limits, fans are encouraged to buy tickets early to secure the best seats before they sell out.
