Woodbine Entertainment announced Thursday that the 160th running of the $1 million Queen’s Plate, the first jewel of the Canadian Triple Crown series, will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto.

North America’s oldest continuously-run stakes event showcasing Canada’s top 3-year-old Thoroughbreds is the highlight of Woodbine’s Queen’s Plate Festival.

Annually one of Toronto's must-attend events of the summer, the 2019 Queen's Plate Racing Festival will begin on Friday, June 28. The fashion-forward festival will feature world-class horse racing, live entertainment and delicious dining experiences.

Queen’s Plate Festival tickets can be purchased beginning December 6 on Ticketmaster.ca. Fans are encouraged to buy tickets early to secure the best seats before they sell out and lock in the best prices of the year, with reserved grandstand seating starting at just $40 for a limited time.

The 2018 Queen's Plate, won by Wonder Gadot, shifted from Sunday to Saturday, a format the track will keep next year.
