Diagnosed with a bruised left front foot, stable star Pure Clan could return to training in early July, a relieved Bob Holthus said May 22.
Two weeks ago, the trainer was fearful that the powerful 5-year-old turf mare might be done when she refused to train. After a visit to Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital, she was sent to owner Lewis Lakin's Versailles farm to recover. She is exercising on an Aqua-tred, Holthus said.
