Prospect Watch: 53 entries with high-profile pedigrees
Horse Racing Nation's Prospect Watch scans all upcoming entries for starters early in their careers whose dams or siblings are graded-stakes winners or who sold for more than $500,000 at their most recent auction.
A total of 53 runners who meet these criteria were entered in races Sunday through Saturday.
One race in particular that highlights well-bred 3-year-old fillies is Thursday's fifth race at Gulfstream Park, which is a five-furlong turf sprint at the maiden-special-weight level. That race includes two fillies debuting for trainer Todd Pletcher. The first is Pretty Liam, a half-sister to Grade 3 winner Danse Macabre and New Spice, a full sibling to Grade 1 winner Lexitonian. Also in the race is Justified Strategy, a sibling to Grade 3 winner Souper Escape for trainer John Servis.

Sunday, Gulfstream Park race 10, El Megeeth, a 3-year-old filly who is a half-sister to Preakness Stakes winner Early Voting, makes her debut. Tuesday, Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint winner Golden Pal's 3-year-old half-brother Lieutenant General is set to debut for trainer Wesley Ward in a maiden special-weight race going one mile in Mahoning Valley's first race.
Thursday, Bad Betty, a half-sibling to Grade 1 winner Unbridled Command debuts in the fifth race at the Fair Grounds in a maiden claimer.
