Prospect Watch: Full sibling to Patch Adams debuts for Cox

This week's Prospect Watch showcases promising young horses with exceptional bloodlines making debuts and early-career starts at major tracks.

Leading the week's debuts is Wall Street, a 2-year-old Into Mischief colt who is a full brother to Grade 1 winner Patch Adams. Also noteworthy is Pomerance, a Curlin filly out of Grade 2 winner Pomeroys Pistol. Several second and third-time starters with elite pedigrees round out this week's watchlist.

Thursday

Aqueduct race 1 features Pomerance, a 2-year-old filly by Curlin making her debut. She is out of Grade 2 winner Pomeroys Pistol, who earned $575,000 and captured three graded stakes victories. Pomerance is also a half-sister to Grade 2 winner Thousand Words, who earned $328,000. Chad Brown trains the filly for owners Jeff Drown and Don Rachel, who also bred her. Manny Franco has the mount for the seven-furlong dirt test, in which she drew post 3.

Phila Street, a 2-year-old colt by Street Sense, makes his debut in the 10th race at Churchill Downs. The Godolphin homebred is out of Grade 3 winner Champagne Problems, who earned $400,000 during her racing career. Brad Cox conditions the colt for his one-mile dirt debut with Irad Ortiz Jr. aboard from post 9 in a field of 12 plus three also-eligibles. He is 9-2 on the morning line odds.

Fair Grounds race 9 features Creole Chrome, a 2-year-old colt by Volatile making his debut. He is out of Grade 1 winner Funny Moon, who earned $531,000 and captured two graded stakes. The colt races for Three Diamonds Farm and was bred by Gulf Haven Farms. Joe Sharp trains with Paco Lopez taking the mount for the six-furlong dirt contest, breaking from post 5 in a field of 12 plus three also-eligible horses. He is 3-1 on the morning line.

Friday

Real Assay, a 3-year-old Ontario-bred filly by Reload, debuts in Friday's eighth race at Churchill Downs. She is a half-sister to Grade 3 Marine stakes winner Rondure, who earned $306,000. The Borders Racing Stable homebred tackles 1 1/16 miles on turf with Cristian Torres aboard from post 2. Cherie DeVaux trains the filly, who is 12-1 on the morning line in a field of 10 plus four on the also-eligible list.

At Fair Grounds race 8, the Blue Point filly My Blue Line makes her debut. This 2-year-old daughter of Samdaniya is a half-sister to Dabyah, a Group 3 winner in England, providing international breeding appeal. The Michael Stidham-trained filly will run 5 1/2 furlongs on turf for CJ Thoroughbreds with Axel Concepcion aboard. She drew post 9 in an overflow field of 12 plus four also-eligibles.

Gulfstream Park race 1 features Souper Landslide, a Florida-bred 2-year-old filly by Tapit out of Grade 1 winner Victory to Victory. The dam earned $211,000 and captured the Natalma (G1) stakes during her racing career. Souper Landslide is a homebred for Live Oak Plantation and will debut over 1 mile 70 yards on the synthetic surface. Trainer Mark Casse has the filly ready with Edwin Gonzalez aboard from post six in a field of seven.

Saturday

Aqueduct race 6 features Dark Force, a 2-year-old colt by Into Mischief making his debut. He is a half-brother to Grade 1 winner Paola Queen, who earned $431,000. The colt is out of Grade 3-placed Kadira and is a homebred for the Newtown Anner Stud Farm. George Weaver trains with Eric Cancel taking the mount for the 6 1/2-furlong dirt maiden from post 6 in a field of 10.

Never Said No, a 2-year-old filly by Gun Runner makes her debut in Saturday's eighth race at Churchill Downs. She is a half-sister to Grade 2 Los Alamitos Futurity winner Spielberg, who earned $547,000. The G. Watts Humphrey Jr. homebred is out of Miss Squeal. Rusty Arnold trains the filly with Irad Ortiz Jr. aboard from post nine in a field of 10 for the 6 1/2-furlong dirt test.

Also in race 8 at Churchill, Marjoram debuts for trainer Michael McCarthy. This 2-year-old filly by Quality Road is out of Cardamon and is a half-sister to Saratoga Grade 3 winner Spiced Up. The Juddmonte homebred will run 6 1/2 furlongs on dirt with Luis Saez aboard from post three.

Gulfstream Park race 11 showcases Sher Han, a 3-year-old colt by More Than Ready out of Grade 1 winner Ball Dancing. The dam earned $733,000 and captured two North American graded stakes victories during her racing career, most notably the Jenny Wiley (G1). Sher Han will compete over 1 mile 70 yards on the synthetic surface for trainer Hernan Parra with Luis Fuenmayor aboard from the outermost gate in a field of nine.

Sunday

Churchill Downs race 10 headlines the week with Wall Street, a 2-year-old colt by Into Mischief making his debut. The WinStar Farm homebred is a full brother to multiple-Grade 1 winner Patch Adams, who earned $773,000 and just retired to WinStar for his next career. Wall Street is out of Well Humored and races for WinStar Farm and First Go Racing. Brad Cox trains with Irad Ortiz Jr. taking the mount from post eight in a field of 12 plus one also-eligible horse for the 6 1/2-furlong dirt maiden.

Also in Churchill Downs race 10, Fifty Four Yarder makes his debut for trainer Kelly Von Hemel, if he draws into the race. The 2-year-old Violence colt is a half-brother to Eddie D. (G2) winner Whatmakessammyrun, who earned $502,000. He is out of the Touch Gold mare Reggae Rose, who also produced Transylvania (G3) and Tropical Turf (G3) winner Shakhimat. Fifty Four Yarder races for Albaugh Family Stables with Corey Lanerie, and is the one horse on the also-eligible list.

Second and third-time starters

Churchill Downs race 8 Wednesday features Conceit, a 2-year-old filly by Not This Time. She is out of Pachinko and is a half-sister to Jeff Ruby Steaks (G3) winner Final Gambit, who has earned $947,000. The filly makes her third start after breaking her maiden impressively at Horseshoe Indianapolis on Sept. 23, winning by 9 1/2 lengths and earning a 90 Horse Racing Nation speed figure. Brad Cox trains the Juddmonte homebred for the 1 1/16-mile turf allowance with Florent Geroux riding from post two.

Show Me the Munny makes his third career start Friday at Churchill Downs in race 6 after disappointing in his last effort. This 2-year-old colt by Munnings is out of Grade 1 winner Include Me Out, who earned $957,000 and captured four graded stakes during her career. Despite earning just a 76 HRN speed figure in his most recent start on Nov. 1, the top dam connection keeps him as a prospect to watch. Paul McGee trains the colt for Jay Em Ess Stable.

Touch of Magic returns for her third career start in Churchill Downs race 8 on Saturday. The 2-year-old Into Mischief filly is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Guarana, who earned $1.08 million during her career. Her dam, Magical World, also produced Cornucopian, one of the fastest 3-year-olds of 2025 and a probable for the Malibu in December. Touch of Magic finished fifth in her most recent start at Churchill Downs on Sept. 27, beaten 4 3/4 lengths while earning a 100 HRN speed figure. Steve Asmussen trains for Three Chimneys Farm with Jose Ortiz aboard from post eight.

Trouble Calling makes his third start in Churchill Downs race 10 on Sunday after showing promise in his recent efforts. The 2-year-old Dialed In colt is a half-brother to Franklin-Simpson (G1) stakes winner Troubleshooting, who has earned $1.74 million. Troubleshooting himself is entered in the Commonwealth (G3) at Churchill on Saturday. Trouble Calling finished second by a nose at Keeneland on Oct. 19 while earning a 97 HRN speed figure. Gregory Foley trains the Donamire Farm homebred with Brian Hernandez Jr. riding from post 10.
