Prospect Watch: 82 entries + Gun Runner's half-sister debuts
Horse Racing Nation’s Prospect Watch scans all upcoming entries for starters early in their careers who sold for more than $500,000 at their most recent auction or whose dams or siblings are graded-stakes winners.
A total of 82 runners who meet these criteria were entered in races Thursday through Wednesday.
Thursday at 4:15 p.m. EST in Fair Grounds race 6 is the scheduled debut for Pretty Ana, a 3-year-old half-sister to champion Gun Runner. The daughter of Quality Road is a homebred owned by Three Chimneys Farm and like her champion half-sibling, she is trained by Steve Asmussen. She breaks from the rail and is listed at 8-1 on the morning line in a field of nine in a maiden special-weight dirt route.
Another anticipated debut is The Dover Specter, a 3-year-old filly who is a full-sibling to Spooky Channel. The daughter of English Channel will start for trainer Kelsey Danner in Gulfstream Park race 11 in a maiden special weight turf route.

On Sunday, Roswell, a 3-year-old filly by Grade 1 winner Acoma, won on debut for trainer Bill Mott in Gulfstream Park race 4 and paid $25.00.
Wednesday at Turfway Park race 5, Moon Fleet, a half-sister to 2021 Wood Memorial (G2) winner Bourbonic, ran second at 18-1 for trainer Doug O'Neill while Silk, a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Taris ran off the board as the even-money favorite.

Thursday, Gulfstream Park race 4, Fuji Fire, a 3-year-old colt who is a full sibling to Firenze Fire, debuts in a maiden claimer.
Saturday, Santa Anita race 1, Mongolian Max, a 3-year-old brother of Rocket Can, debuts for trainer Enebish Ganbat. Rocket Can ran ninth behind Mage in the 2023 Kentucky Derby as well as winning the Holy Bull (G3) on the Derby trail.
Saturday, Coinvest, a $1.1 million Keeneland September sale purchase and a half-brother to Wit, debuts for trainer Todd Pletcher. The 3-year-old son of City of Light goes in race 11 at Gulfstream Park, a maiden special weight on the grass.
Saturday, Saint Damasus, a half-brother to Classic Causeway, debuts at the Fair Grounds for trainer Kenny McPeek. The 3-year-old son of Justify will go in race 5 in a route on the main track.
Sunday, Fair Grounds race 7, Ultimate Value, a half-brother to G3 winner Prevalence debuts for trainer Brendan Walsh in a maiden special weight turf route. Ultimate Value is by Uncle Mo and Prevalence, also trained by Walsh, is by Medaglia d'Oro.
