Pregnant Snow Top Mountain Retired

Barbara Hunter's multiple graded stakes winner Snow Top Mountain has been retired from racing. The 5-year-old homebred daughter of Najran concluded her career with a runner-up effort by a neck in the Modesty Handicap (gr. IIIT) at Arlington Park July 14.

Trained by Tom Proctor, Snow Top Mountain contested the Modesty in foal to Blame. She had been bred to the Claiborne Farm stallion earlier this year.

Snow Top Mountain won three stakes including this year's Suwannee River Stakes (gr. IIIT) at Gulfstream Park and the Edward P. Evans All Along Stakes (gr. IIIT) at Colonial Downs. She also captured last year's Kentucky Cup Ladies Turf Stakes.
