Preakness special wagers: Two-day Pick 5s, mandatory payouts

Friday and Saturday of Preakness week at Laurel Park feature 15 stakes in addition to the middle jewel of the Triple Crown.

The Maryland Jockey Club will offer two separate two-day Pick 5 wagers, consisting of stakes on Friday and Saturday.

Both wagers will offer a 12% takeout with a 50-cent minimum wager amount, and both will have a mandatory payout provision.

For the all-stakes, two-day Pick 5, players will select the official winner in each of the selected five races across Black-Eyed Susan and Preakness days.

Mandatory payouts on tap

Please note that on Black-Eyed Susan day the early Pick 5 will potentially carry over the early Pick 5 on Preakness day and the same with the ;ate Pick 5 on Black-Eyed Susan day potentially carrying over to the late Pick 5 on Preakness Day. 

Both the early Pick 5 and the late Pick 5 will be set with a mandatory payout provision on Preakness day.  All other middle Pick 5s on both the Black-Eyed Susan and Preakness Day cards will be set with mandatory payout provisions on each day.
