Exaggerator, the 3-time Grade 1 multimillionaire and Classic-winning son of Curlin, will shuttle to Haras Doña Icha in Chile in 2018, it was announced Thursday. The deal was brokered by Juan P. Sullivan and Cristian Benavente of Sullivan Bloodstock.

Exaggerator, who stands in North America at WinStar Farm, will become the first son of champion Curlin to stand in South America. Winner of the Preakness S. (G1), Haskell Invitational (G1) and Santa Anita Derby (G1) as a 3-year-old, Exaggerator is his sire’s all-time leading earner at $3,581,120.

At age 2, he captured the Saratoga Special S. (G2) and $1 million Delta Jackpot (G3). Exaggerator was also a fast-closing runner-up to Nyquist in the Kentucky Derby (G1) at 3, finishing ahead of recent Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) winner Gun Runner.

Exaggerator proved to be popular in his first season at WinStar, covering 162 mares in 2017, including 34 Graded stakes winners/producers and the dams of nine Grade 1 winners.
