Spendthrift Farm’s Cloud Computing, the 3-year-old who captured the 2017 Preakness Stakes as a highlight to his million-dollar career, had the first ever mate he covered check in foal, it was confirmed this week.

Flat Out Gittin It, a stakes-placed 4-year-old filly by Flat Out, is in foal with her first pregnancy. Boarded at Chesapeake Farm in Lexington, Ky., she was bred on Spendthrift’s “Share The Upside” program. Flat Out Gittin It was stakes-placed in her third start as a 2-year-old, and she’s out of the multiple stakes-winning and stakes-producing mare Follow the Lite.

Campaigned by Klaravich Stables and William Lawrence, Cloud Computing captured his six-furlong debut at Aqueduct and jumped straight onto the 2017 Triple Crown Trail, finishing runner-up in the Gotham Stakes (G3) just three weeks later. In his next start, he rallied to be third in the Wood Memorial (G2).

Trainer Chad Brown pointed Cloud Computing to Pimlico's Preakness, and the dark bay colt rewarded his connections with their first Triple Crown victory, running down 2-year-old champion Classic Empire to score the monumental win.

Cloud Computing retired with earnings of $1,125,200, becoming the first Classic winner to enter stud at Spendthrift since Affirmed. He’s standing his first season for $7,500 S&N.
