Preakness 2024: Pimlico releases wagering menu, new Pick 5 bets
Pimlico has released its wagering menu for Black-Eyed Susan day next Friday and Preakness day, May 18.
For the first time ever, Pimlico is offering a pair of new Pick 5 wagers. Preakness all-stakes Pick 5 which combines races from the Black-Eyed Susan day card and the Preakness day card. There will also be an all-dirt Pick 5 featuring races from both days. Each of these new Pick 5 wagers has a $0.50 minimum and a 12 percent takeout, and will be separated on its own card on mutuel terminals and ADW interfaces. Specifics on the selected races will be released after both cards are drawn.
Pimlico will also continue to offer the Black-Eyed Susan/Preakness double. The wager, with a $1 minimum and a 21 percent takeout, will also appear as its own card.
Advance wagering on the full Preakness-day card will be available next Friday. There will be no advance wagering on the Black-Eyed Susan day card.
First race post on Black-Eyed Susan day is 11:30 a.m. EDT while the first race for Preakness day is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. EDT. Black-Eyed Susan day coverage on Friday will occur from 4:30–6:00 p.m. EDT on Peacock and all day on FanDuel TV & Hipica TV.
Preakness day coverage on Saturday will occur from 1:30-4:30 p.m. EDT on Peacock and CNBC and then from 4:30-7:30 p.m. EDT on Peacock and NBC and from 6:30–7:30 p.m. EDT on Universo and the Telemundo App. FanDuel TV and Hipica TV will also cover Pimlico all day.
