Preakness 2018 odds: Wynn Las Vegas opens betting

The Wynn Las Vegas on Thursday opened betting for the 2018 Preakness Stakes with the 11 horses on the board. The group, of course, is led by a heavy favorite in Justify.

The Kentucky Derby winner is the 1-2 top choice, with the next-lowest prices offered those of Good Magic (3-1) and Bolt d'Oro (8-1). Good Magic is at this point considered only possible to run, meaning Justify's favoritism may grow before the May 19 race at Pimlico.

The fourth Vegas choice is a new shooter -- yep, it's that time of year -- in Quip, who shares most of Justify's ownership. An indication he's not a major win threat? The Grade 2 Tampa Bay Derby winner sits at 12-1.

Prices range up to Dallas Stewart-trained Givemeaminit at 50-1, but Stewart is known for his longshots, with Tale of Verve second in the 2015 Preakness at odds of 28-1.
