The 2016 Preakness is the next race at Pimlico and Kentucky Derby winner Nyquist is back as the favorite with his original odds of 3-5. Kentucky Derby runner up Exaggerator follows him at 5-2.

Exaggerator will face Nyquist for the fifth time in hopes of finally catching him. Exaggerator’s last win was in the sloppy Santa Anita Derby and the colt should enjoy the wet Pimlico track today. Should Nyquist win, the Uncle Mo colt will be nine for nine in his race career, giving trainer Doug O’Neill his second Kentucky Derby-Preakness double. Keith Desormeaux, who trains Exaggerator, has been looking forward to the rematch since the Derby finish.

Todd Pletcher trainee Stradivari is the third choice and is back to his morning line odds of 8-1. He will be making his fourth career start and last won an allowance race at Keeneland by 14 lengths. The Preakness will be his first time in stakes company.

Bob Baffert will be looking for his seventh Preakness win with Collected, who is coming off a victory in Keeneland’s Lexington Stakes. Collected is the fourth choice at 16-1.
