Post times are changed for Sunday NYRA cross-country Pick 5 bet

The New York Racing Association on Friday adjusted its schedule for Sunday’s cross-country Pick 5 involving three of the wager’s races at Monmouth Park.

The change was needed because incorrect post times were listed in the entries for races 6, 8 and 10, according to Tom Luicci, media manager for Monmouth Park. Post times for the races from Belmont Park  included in the wager were not affected.

The sequence will now begin with race 6 at Monmouth, a 5 1/2 -furlong maiden special weight race for fillies and mares on the turf, which will go to post at 3:01 p.m. EDT rather than the previously announced 3:39 p.m. start time.

The other Monmouth races included in the wager were adjusted as well. Monmouth race 8, a 5 1/2-furlong allowance optional claiming race for fillies and mares on the turf, which will go to post at 3:58 p.m., rather than the previously announced 4:19 p.m., and the final leg, the $150,000 Irish War Cry stakes going one mile over the turf as race 10, which will be run at approximately 4:57 p.m. rather than 5:37 p.m.

Free Equibase past performances for the cross-country Pick 5 sequence will be available for download on NYRA's website.
