Here's who HRN handicapper Jarrod Horak likes to win the TVG Super 8 races:

Saturday's Gulfstream Park Race 12 (Pegasus World Cup)
#2 WEST COAST (8-1) - Bob Baffert's recently named 3-year-old champion has multiple bullets in his holster, and he should save all of the ground stalking the pace under Javier Castellano. His numbers improved late in his sophomore campaign, and he could have even more to offer as a 4-year-old.
Saturday's Santa Anita Race 8 (Unusual Heat Turf Classic, 9T)
#6 RYE (3-1) - Returns to turf (5-for-10 grass record), and jockey Kent Desormeaux and trainer William Morey teamed up to win last weekend’s G3 Las Cienegas with Coniah. He should be heard from in the late going.
Saturday's Santa Anita Race 9 (MSW, CA-bred, 5.5f)
#6 INLAND EMPIRE (5-1) - Finished with interest to just miss the show from post 11 in a similar local spot Dec. 31. Peter Eurton has decent stats with second time starters, and she worked a solid half-mile for this Jan. 19.
Saturday's Santa Anita Race 10 (MSW, CA-bred, 8T)
#4 SMART KNOWS SMART (4-1) - Missed by a nose at this distance on Del Mar turf Nov. 18 and exits a disappointing sixth of 10 in a downhill sprint. Peter Miller's first-time gelding adds blinkers. Switches to Flavien Prat, and can earn his diploma in this spot.
Saturday's Golden Gate Field Race 9 (Alw-1x, 8.5f)
#3 NICARRA (7-2) - Shipped to Golden Gate Fields and missed by a head from the outside post in a similar turf route Jan. 1. She worked a solid five panels over the local all-weather surface Jan. 14, and gets pace to chase in the paper race.
Sunday's Aqueduct Race 5 (Clm-16k, 6f)
#3 AFLEET MARTINI (8-1) - Missed by a nose when last seen at Finger Lakes, and his last two wins were at Aqueduct at this distance. He runs well fresh and should attend the pace.
Sunday's Aqueduct Race 6 (Mcl-40k, NY-bred, 6f)
#3 EVER YOUNG (7-2) - Experienced a troubled start from the intimidating inside post in his Saratoga debut last summer, and two runners from that affair were next-out winners. Linda Rice does fine work with second-time starters, and Junior Alvarado is 4-for-12 with this barn recently.
Sunday's Aqueduct Race 9 (Mcl-40k, NY-bred, 6f)
#7 UCANTCATCHMYBREATH (7-2) - The first-time starter shows up in a below-par heat, and his steady local work regiment includes a couple of solid gate moves. Rudy Rodriguez shows a +ROI with debut maiden claimers, and Trevor McCarthy is riding well at the Big A.
