Play Wednesday races with the Shipper Stats Report

One of Horse Racing Nation's Pro Reports, the Shipper Stats Report, offers horseplayers information about how to include (or fade) shippers in their wagers. Available for every track, every day, this report also highlights which shippers might be overbet or underbet with the HRN Impact score. 

Thirteen tracks are included in the Shipper Stats Report for Wednesday. One of the most played will be Saratoga. Race 2 on the card features horses who made their last starts at Horseshoe Indianapolis, Parx or Belmont Park.

No. 5 Backed by Gold (12-1 ML) is the Parx shipper in Race 2. Over the last three years, horses coming in from Parx have not performed well, winning 8 percent. These horses have been overbet as well, leading to a negative HRN Impact score of minus-45 percent. With opening week complete, this trend appears to be holding true to form so far. Parx shippers went 0-for-7 for the first week of the meet. Based on their odds, however, none were expected to win.

No. 4 Mariah's Fortune (6-5 ML) is the Horseshoe Indianapolis shipper in this field and is favored. These shippers have a slightly better success rate at 13 percent over the last three years. 

Race 2 at Colonial Downs features shippers from across the country. In the last three years, horses who last ran at Colonial or at Delaware performed best, winning at 11 percent. Monmouth and Tampa shippers also fared well and were successful 10 percent of the time.

Horses coming in from Charles Town were mostly unable to secure victory, winning at a low 3 percent. The Charles Town shipper in this field, No. 4 Blue Bonnie (20-1 ML), would be an unlikely winner in this spot, and her morning-line odds reflect that.

Race 7 at Horseshoe Indianapolis has a few shippers to potentially fade. Horses arriving from Belterra, Oaklawn Park and Belmont Park have not been winning as expected based on their odds. Over the last 90 days, Belterra shippers have an HRN Impact score of minus-11 percent. Belmont Park shippers are faring much worse with an HRN Impact score of minus-101 percent. Oaklawn shippers have an HRN Impact score of minus-3 percent.

With this information, horses such as No. 9 Message Discipline (6-1 ML) and No. 10 Runquietly (5-1 ML) could be valuable fades as lower-priced horses with statistics that work against them.
