For the fourth time in five days at the Winter Thoroughbred meet, there were no perfect tickets in the Pick Six Thursday, so there will be a double carryover of $110,052 when racing resumes Friday at Los Alamitos.
The main catalysts for the latest carryover were a pair of longshots ridden by Agapito Delgadillo for owner-trainer Bobby Wayne Grayson.
Lady’s War Dress, a 2-year-old debuting daughter of Wartime bred by Grayson in California, led throughout in the third  race at 32-1, then 30-1 outsider Elegant Street went gate-to-wire in the sixth, holding off heavily-favored Uninvited.
Post time Friday is 1 p.m. The Pick Six will begin in the third race, which has a scheduled post time of 1:58 p.m.
WILDFIRE KID PICKS UP FIFTH WIN OF 2016 IN THURSDAY FEATURE
Wildfire Kid, the 2-1 favorite, earned his fifth win of 2016 in Thursday’s $27,725 feature Thursday at Los Alamitos.
Tracking a rapid pace under jockey Joe Talamo, the 6-year-old Holy Bull gelding surged past the leaders inside the final eighth of a win to prevail by a half-length in 56.07 seconds for the five furlongs.
Owned by Randy Exelby and trainer Mark Glatt, Wildfire Kid,  who is out of the Broken Vow mare My Oh My, returned $6.80, $3.60 and $3.00 as he won for the eighth time in 36 starts. He’s earned $183,975.
No Problem, a 10-1 shot making his first start as a gelding, rallied for second under jockey Luis Contreras and paid $9.80 and $4.80. He finished 1 ¾ lengths in front of 5-2 second choice Where Y’at Joe Joe, who was making his initial appearance since being claimed for $20,000 by trainer Dean Pederson Nov. 26. The show price on Where Y’at Joe Joe was $3.
Contreras earned his first win at Los Alamitos in the fifth race, guiding Honor Maker to a mild surprise ($13.60) for a partnership and trainer Richard Baltas.
A 30-year-old native of Mexico City, Contreras, who earned his first lifetime victory at Golden Gate Fields Feb. 1, 2007 recently returned to California after finishing a distant second behind leader Eurico Rosa Da Silva in the jockey standings at the recently-concluded Woodbine meet.
Contreras wound up the lengthy season in Toronto with 140 wins, 62 fewer than Da Silva.
